next steps

Thank you so much for getting started with SolveBoost, and taking the first step in becoming a faster, more confident 3x3 solver. I'm James Alonso (your coach) and to continue your coaching journey, please complete the following next steps according to which Written version you decided to go for!

2) filming

  1. Get warmed up by drilling some algs and solving slowly

  2. Find a tripod, or someone else to help film

  3. Set up the phone / camera to be at OVER-THE-SHOULDER or POV ANGLE

  4. Check it's NOT MIRRORED, and the lighting is decent

  5. Open up your chosen timer program (for scrambles)

  6. Film yourself doing 3 / 5* SOLVES individually, SHOWING THE TIME you got after each, and KEEPING THE SCRAMBLES somewhere

*Film 3 solves for SB Lite or 5 for SB Classic

As you purchased a written version of SolveBoost 3x3 coaching, you now need to film you solves. To ensure you're able to get the best video quality possible, here's a checklist:

I also need to know some extra information about you as a cuber, like when you started, which days you're available to practise, and of course, the videos of your solves. I've packed all of these questions (and a few more) into a quick Google Form for you to fill in, which should only take a few minutes to answer!

Finally, keep an eye on your inbox for my email with your completed SolveBoost coaching materials. It will include a link to the Google Drive folder, as well as one to 'The SolveBoost Squad' Discord server! I may take up to a week to finish your coaching.
